The call of the elk in autumn this fall rings through the forest and mountainside. Originally a praire animal, the elk now can be seen in mountains and meadows of the Rockies which hunters prize for their wily shy ways and massive racks attached unfortunately to their head which they use to attract mates and defend territory. Hello... I'm a geologist by birth, I've struggled to learn how to read and write. Overcoming this difficulty, I've learned to paint and write ideas through reflection, inspiration, and work while in the wilds of Montana, USA. I use watercolors mainly for the freedom of expression and versatility they afford. I've been painting for a few years and studied them in Minnesota when I finished my BA in Geology. I like watercolors because they're light and easy and fast like a lightfoot fishing the streams of time for sport just to spend some life with the art rather than trying to catch the tourney prize.
