In partnership with America, Artist Victor Vosen has decided to use some American Made Hemp Watercolor paper, by Green Field Paper company, San Diego et. al.
The paper is 110# short fiber Hemp fine art paper and creates an amazing dynamic to the medium of watercolors. It behaves much like wood pulp paper in it's ability of both to absorb water and tissue strength which creates new challenges for those accustomed to using french cotton rag paper.
"I like the grainy texture that the paper has to offer with some speckles occasionally, because it offers this small distraction to the eye that draws the viewer into the picture not from the left and not from the bottom or top, but Full-On like a head-charge... and the imperfections are hardly noticeable," Victor said, "It adds texture in addition to the cold press feel of it."
