Painted plein aire this morning a short trip away. Lightfast paints on archival paper of view while sitting. Watercolor paint with very little gauche used in the creation of this one of a kind day, that is now threatening at every turn with rain but little is seeming to come after it has already rained the last three or four days in western MT, of the Clarkfork River Valley.

Hello... I'm a geologist by birth, I've struggled to learn how to read and write. Overcoming this difficulty, I've learned to paint and write ideas through reflection, inspiration, and work while in the wilds of Montana, USA. I use watercolors mainly for the freedom of expression and versatility they afford. I've been painting for a few years and studied them in Minnesota when I finished my BA in Geology. I like watercolors because they're light and easy and fast like a lightfoot fishing the streams of time for sport just to spend some life with the art rather than trying to catch the tourney prize.
